He has served on the Risk Management Committee, Federal Housing Committee, Conventional Finance and Lending Committee, Public Policy Coordinating Committee, and the VOW Work Group.
Veneris was president of the Illinois Association of REALTORS® in 2005; where he earlier served as president-elect and treasurer. He chaired the Strategic Planning Committee, Political Affairs Committee, Technology Work Group, and Real Estate Finance Work Group. Veneris also served on the Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, Legislative Coordinating Committee, the Internet Rules Task Force, Agency Task Force, Personal Assistant Task Force, and Political Fundraising Work Group.
At the local level, Veneris was president of the DuPage Association of REALTORS® in 1994. He chaired several committees including MLS, REALTOR® of the Year, and Nominating, and also chaired the Structural Audit Task Force. Veneris served on most of the other standing committees of the association. He was named “REALTOR® of the Year” for the state of Illinois in 2009.
Active in the community as well, Veneris is a member of the Downers Grove Chamber of Commerce. He resides in Clarendon Hills, IL, with his wife Dee; they have two children.
